inspired by the song “Union“, included on WÆNDE, previously unreleased

One of our favourite movies from the 1980s:
Rain Main. The story of two brothers. The older one: autistic with an Inselbegabung (unique talent, savant syndrome, Insel = island). The best part: Together they leave behind the sanitorium Wallbrook to embark on a road trip through the US – accompanied by the catchy instrumental track “Leaving Wallbrook“
which features a didgeridoo.

“Wallbook“ on the other hand means a large, printed book that is installed on a wall. It is often designed in the shape of an accordion so that it can either be read like a book or mounted to the wall. Christopher Lloyd was the first to create a 2-meter long timeline called The What on Earth? Wallbook which illustrates the history of our planet – from the Big Bang to the present day. We leave this timeline behind with the cello, ping pong delays and Daniel’s restored childhood upright:
