Wænde
The album's title track includes a characteristic cello arpeggio.
Even though we started out again with a quite experimental concept, the song gradually and naturally found its harmonic structure. In listening closely Daniel developed his very own pulse. In German, WÆNDE has a hybrid meaning. On the one hand, we remember the oftentimes wafer-thin and rather clairaudient walls of our former home, the prefab estate. On the other hand, the title refers to the German term for the historic turning point in 1989 – an indefinable time between exuberant joy and complete perplexity. Typographically, we play with majuscule and miniscule in order to assign an original visual character to this unique mood and meaning.

A work of beautiful, pointillist guitar from Martyn Heyne, the moving songs on “Electric Intervals” are made of tiny pinpricks of sound. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 11, 2017
