about
Here, the cello improvises without the piano. Instead, we listen to a revived Vermona ET 6-1 organ. We produced some distinctive trance repetitions with its pulsating percussion function. The Moog Taurus MK I bass pedal built in the USA in 1976 gives the foundation to the electric organ built in the GDR back in 1978. Friendship!
some times music makes you pause to listen and in that moment of listening, your entire perception of the world can change, this is that kind of music. mandocello
Julia Kent’s dance-inspired pieces for cello and electronics prove she can elegantly render the quieter, intimate moments just as well as the big, powerful ones. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 31, 2019
Slow Meadow's S/T LP debut is a deftly layered recording. It presents a melancholic yet serene tonality. The tracks and their languid flow are wrapped in classical ambient colors. Of note is the gorgeous cello of Aimee Norris and the violin accompaniment of Andy Shelton, Joshua Ello, and Alia Gonzales. Nice introduction. Brilliant debut. Gary Figueroa
